The New Citizen Tsuyosa 60: A Fresh Take On An Affordable Icon

The watch community has long admired the Tsuyosa for its blend of sportiness, elegance, and affordability. Now, the fan-favorite integrated bracelet sports watch is back in a new evolution — the Tsuyosa 60 — and it’s better than ever.

A Refined Case with Familiar Proportions

The new Tsuyosa 60 retains the recognizable 40 mm angular stainless steel case, mostly brushed with a polished smooth bezel that adds refinement. Sapphire crystal, a recessed crown at 4 o’clock, a screwed-open caseback, and 50m water resistance preserve the model’s sporty DNA while ensuring practicality for everyday wear.

A Textured Dial That Elevates the Look

While the previous generation showcased a flat design, the Tsuyosa 60 takes things further with a finely textured dial inspired by traditional guilloché, offering a play of light that gives the watch a more luxurious presence. The dial maintains the successful layout of its predecessor, with applied hour markers and faceted hands filled with luminescent material for legibility in low light. Along the edges runs a printed minute track, while the white date window at 3 o’clock is enhanced by a cyclops for easier reading. Completing the design are the brand’s signature at 12 o’clock and the “Automatic” inscription at 6 o’clock.

Upgraded Bracelet for a More Elegant Fit

Another major improvement comes in the bracelet. The new five-link design, reminiscent of a “Jubilee style”, blends brushed outer links with polished central ones for a sophisticated contrast. It now closes with a deployant clasp, which not only enhances comfort but also adds to the overall elegance of the watch on the wrist.

A New Heart: The Caliber 8310

Inside, the Tsuyosa 60 beats with the newly developed in-house Caliber 8310 automatic movement, offering a 60-hour power reserve, which is 18 hours more than the previous 8210 caliber. This 21-jewel movement operates at 21,600 vibrations per hour and includes a hacking seconds function, a welcome feature for precision setting. The movement is also more visually appealing than before, featuring a silver tone that replaces the previous gold, bridges decorated with stripes, thermally blued screws, and an open rotor with a sandblasted finish around its periphery.

The new Tsuyosa 60 debuts in three attractive versions. The NK0020-55E pairs a silver stainless steel case with a black dial, the NK0024-54X comes in a two-tone silver and gold-tone case with a striking green dial, while the NK0023-57L features a rose gold-tone case with a deep blue dial
